Position Summary
The Senior ERP Systems Programmer & Manager will serve as the strategic lead for the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the district’s Oracle Cloud HCM environment. This role manages a team of support analysts and engineers, partners with internal and external stakeholders, and ensures ERP functionality supports data integrity, operational reliability, and district-wide objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Project Leadership
- Establish long-term ERP roadmaps aligned with district objectives.
- Lead ERP feasibility studies, evaluations, and large-scale project coordination.
- Use project management methodologies to oversee application design, evaluation, and implementation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure ERP deliverables support operational and student achievement goals.
Enterprise Systems Administration & Analysis
- Serve as the primary technical resource for ERP functionality.
- Analyze, test, debug, and implement advanced ERP functionality and integrations.
- Monitor system activity and recommend improvements.
- Evaluate ERP patches and upgrades and provide deployment recommendations.
Team Supervision & Collaboration
- Supervise Oracle support staff, contractors, and Application Services staff.
- Assign daily responsibilities and conduct performance evaluations.
- Mentor junior team members on technical tools and project management practices.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, technology teams, and external partners.
Application Development & Quality Assurance
- Design, develop, and deploy custom reports and data integrations.
- Partner with third-party vendors on integrations and software defect resolution.
- Perform QA reviews of ERP documentation.
- Support the design and maintenance of the district’s Enterprise Architecture Plan.
- Troubleshoot advanced application issues and develop functional solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Oracle applications support experience in a complex information systems environment.
- Progressive experience in application support, application management, software implementation, or IT.
- Formal project management training.
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle, SQL, dBase, and relational database management systems.
- Experience with integrated applications including student information, finance, HR, and payroll systems.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure.
Certifications / Licenses
- Advanced application certifications required.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License required.
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position directly supervises ERP team members, contractors, and Application Services staff. The role may also provide leadership coverage and perform Director-level responsibilities during absences.
