Senior Environmental Sales Manager - Hazardous & Non-Hazardous Services Location: Remote in New York State (Must live within ~2 hours of Syracuse, NY) Territory: New York and potentially broader Northeast region Compensation: $130,000 - $180,000 base salary On-Target Earnings (OTE): $200,000 - $400,000+ with performance incentives Travel: Regional travel required Position Overview Our established environmental and chemical services client is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Sales Manager to lead new business development efforts across the Northeast. This is a highly visible, revenue-generating role focused primarily on acquiring new clients and expanding service offerings within existing accounts. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned environmental services sales professional who thrives in a hunter-style role, understands complex regulatory environments, and has a strong track record of building profitable client relationships. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Revenue GrowthIdentify, develop, and close new business opportunities in hazardous and non-hazardous waste services Expand relationships within existing accounts through cross-selling and upselling services Build and maintain a strong pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach Solution-Based SellingProvide consultative guidance to customers on environmental services and compliance requirements Develop tailored solutions across service lines including waste management, recycling, wastewater handling, solvent recovery, and treatment services Help customers navigate regulatory requirements such as RCRA, DOT, and state environmental regulations Territory & Pipeline ManagementManage territory strategy and business development initiatives across the region Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline tracking, and opportunity management within CRM systems Monitor territory performance and adjust strategies to achieve revenue targets Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with internal operations and technical teams to ensure service delivery feasibility and profitability Work closely with leadership to identify growth opportunities and market expansion strategies
Required Qualifications5+ years of B2B sales experience in environmental services, waste management, industrial services, or chemical-related industries Demonstrated success in new business development and revenue generation Working knowledge of hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams Experience selling complex services in a regulated industry Strong consultative sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Ability to manage a regional territory and travel as needed Preferred ExperienceExperience with TSDF services, lab packs, wastewater treatment, solvent recovery, or industrial cleaning services Established relationships with regional industrial or environmental clients Self-motivated, entrepreneurial sales approach with strong accountability for results
