What will you do Responsible for implementation of QH Quality and EHS management system at manufacturing sites and FluidCare customer locations in Australia and New Zealand. Serves as the focal point for support and implementation of the corporate EHS programs and software system. Provides support of appropriate medical and industrial hygiene policies and procedures. Maintain the current ISO90012015 and ISO45001 and 14001 certifications at Melbourne site. Lead annual EHSQ MS internal audit and management review to satisfy ISO certification requirements. Work closely with the APAC EHS Director LocalRegional Engineering site operations and the external insurance firms to effectively identify and manage loss prevention issues. Supervise EHS consultants and contractors hired to perform EHS services such as EHS legal compliance audit samples collection noise measurements air emissions industrial hygiene testing fit testing etc. Interact with regulatory agencies during compliance inspections. Responds to written correspondence and inquiries from outside regulatory agencies. Coordinate with regulatory agencies local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and standards. Analyze and interpret regulatory requirements annual reporting and environmental permit conditions that apply to QH s operations manufacturing locations and chemical management activities and work closely with plant management to address EHS requirements and concerns. Develop implement and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement. Lead incident investigations to determine root causes and develop corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Manage EHS training programs for employees contractors and visitors to ensure awareness and understanding of EHS requirements and best practices. Monitor and report site EHS performance including key performance indicators KPIs and metrics to senior management. Oversee the management of hazardous materials and waste ensuring proper storage handling and disposal. Maintain emergency response plans and procedures to effectively manage potential EHS incidents. Serve as a technical resource in the coordination of emergency preparedness on the site. Lead and participate in EHS committee meetings and other relevant forums. Work closely on sustainability projects and update the sustainability data on a monthly base. Leading the EHS campaigns e.g. DevonWay QH Life Saving Rules Stop Work Authority etc. Attend Advanced Solutions Perth site monthly safety meeting and support toolbox talks and regular compliance review. What do we look for Experience At least 3 years solid experience in the Environmental Health & Safety discipline with a strong focus on safety ideally in chemical oil & gas food pharma or related manufacturing industries Education Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of professional certification formal EHS training and relevant practical experience. Advanced certification andor additional specialized environmental or safety education required in cases where a bachelor s degree is not held. Technical skills Solid understanding of local EHS regulatory requirements. Knowledge of and some implementation experience with applicable industry standards including but not limited to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Responsible Care etc. Solid technical and regulatory expertise in relevant regional and national product safetystewardship regulatory requirements and associated management systems and programs. Process risk management best practices. Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis skills. Ability to interpret and apply hazardous materials legislation storage and handling rules and industrial risk controls. Language Fluent in English written and spoken. IT Skills Proficiency in MS Office MS Teams and O365 with the ability to quickly learn new IT systems. Soft Skills Autonomous and proactive working style. Strong communication skills written verbal and listening. Practical problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Strong team player with a passion for delivering results.
