OverviewSenior Engineer - Water Resources | Memphis, TN | Full TimeAbout The RoleBuchart Horn is seeking a Senior Engineer to support and grow our Water Resources Strategic Business Unit. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys serving as a technical leader and project manager on complex water and wastewater projects. You will help shape solutions that support critical infrastructure while mentoring developing engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the firm.This position supports projects across all Water Resources locations and offers the opportunity to work on impactful municipal and utility projects from planning through construction.What You'll DoAs a Senior Engineer, you will lead the technical development and delivery of complex water and wastewater projects.Plan, design, and develop water and wastewater systems including treatment facilities, pumping stations, and collection and distribution systemsPerform advanced engineering analyses, system studies, and independent calculationsLead project design from early planning and schematic phases through construction documentationSupport permitting efforts and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulationsReview shop drawings, develop specifications, construction cost estimates, and sequencingProvide technical guidance and mentorship to EITs, interns, and designersCollaborate with project managers to support proposals, schedules, budgets, and client coordinationWhen assigned as a Project Manager, you may also serve as the primary client liaison, oversee project execution, manage budgets and schedules, and support the overall profitability and success of assigned projects.QualificationsWhat We're Looking ForProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseStrong technical background in water and wastewater engineering and infrastructure designExperience serving as a technical lead and/or project manager on complex projectsWorking knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit or BIM tools, and Civil 3DFamiliarity with hydraulic and hydraulic modeling tools such as WaterGEMS and SewerGEMSUnderstanding of construction practices, cost estimating, and specification developmentWhy Join UsLead complex water and wastewater projects that have a tangible impact on the communities we serveJoin a firm with decades of trusted engineering and planning expertiseWork in a collaborative, supportive environment where your technical leadership is valuedEngage with diverse and challenging projects that leverage your experience and allow for mentorship of early-career engineersReceive a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package#J-18808-Ljbffr
