Job OverviewWhirlpool Corporation seeks a Senior Engineer, New Product Launch, to lead new product launches and large capital projects for Cooking at the Cleveland, TN Operations. This onsite, 1st shift (8 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday) role will collaborate with cross‑functional leadership partners, including NAR Manufacturing Engineering, procurement, product engineering, quality, and advanced manufacturing engineering.ResponsibilitiesManufacturing lead for all MFG requirements to support new product launches and large capital programs: concept creation, project scope management, and execution of all manufacturing requirements.Includes: factory analysis, CAPEX, new assets, manufacturing footprint changes, engineering to pilot builds, PPAP, safe launch execution, manufacturing toll gate reviews, production ramp plans, obsolescence plans, vendor risk management, factory contingency plans.MFG lead representative on project core teams.Work cross‑functionally with marketing, consumer design, product design, quality, procurement, safety, MFG engineering/support, and materials teams to ensure all deliverables are understood and met.Engineering build planning & execution between MFG and engineering teams.Plan and prepare MFG to establish lead time of production operations to meet program delivery dates.Align manufacturing requirements to WPD, APQP, and WCM workstreams to ensure manufacturing site readiness.Facilitate factory analysis including capacity, equipment footprint, material flow/storage, labor/cost roll‑up, asset reuse, and CAPEX submission.Ability to work in a manufacturing & office environment, walking long distances, standing for long periods, and minor lifting (generally 30 lbs or less).Minimum RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Engineering.3+ years of experience working on new model introduction of technical projects (e.g., concept development, design validation, production validation, start of production open to ship).5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Preferred Skills & ExperiencesSuccess in leading projects from inception through completion with direct responsibility for execution of vertical start‑up.Independent with guidance only in complex scenarios.Advanced technical degree and/or Black Belt certification.Experience in large appliance manufacturing operations.Demonstrated ability to successfully lead teams consisting of engineering & operations professionals.Understanding & practical application of fundamental quality tools & statistics used for problem solving.Experience in applying technical knowledge to solve a range of problems.Strong communication skills; able to translate technical concepts into business impact, gain stakeholder buy‑in, and thrive in a 24/7 operation.Proficiency in Google Workspace and SmartSheets.Familiarity with sheet metal manufacturing (stamping, bending, welding) and assembly operations.Self‑starter with strong communication skills.BenefitsGenerous benefits package.Whirlpool employee discount.Fitness & educational reimbursement programs.Kitchenettes.Whirlpool Corporation is committed to equal employment opportunity and prohibits any discrimination on the basis of race or ethnicity, religion, sex, pregnancy, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental disability, veteran status, or any other category protected by applicable law.#J-18808-Ljbffr
