The Senior Engineer is responsible for providing excellent service to our customers shareholders and employees by preparing specifications estimates and overseeing the development of plans layouts details and having responsibility for later waterworks projects. Applicants who may not meet the qualifications of a Senior Engineer could be considered for a Project Engineer role and are encouraged to apply. Project Engineer minimum qualifications follow at the end of this advertisement. The Senior Engineer is an experienced water expert that performs a variety of duties. Tasks include but are not limited to the following · Regularly leads projects of critical importance to the organization. Completes difficult assignments without assistance. · Design or supervise design of full range of water or wastewater system infrastructure including treatment facilities pumping facilities and distribution facilities. · Oversee the efforts of third-party design consultants. · Provide technical advice to managerial personnel regarding design construction or program modifications or structural repairs. · Perform field inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards. · Conduct feasibility studies for the construction of facilities such as water supply systems and water treatment plants. Identify design alternatives for the development of new water resources. · Perform hydraulic analyses of water supply systems or water distribution networks to model flow characteristics test for pressure losses or to identify opportunities to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency. · Gather and analyze water use data. · Conduct cost-benefit analyses for the construction of water supply systems water pumping systems and water treatment plants. · Review and critique proposals plans or designs related to water systems. · Prepare or present public reports on topics such as bid proposals deeds environmental impact statements or property and right-of-way descriptions. · Assist and respond to questions of other engineering and operational personnel. · Mentors Project Engineers and Assistant Engineers and displays leadership as needed. · The Company is committed to providing a safe workplace.
