Senior EngineerThe Agency is seeking a forward-thinking, solutions-driven senior engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication and data analysis skills, a commitment to continuous learning, and a deep understanding of project management, office engineering, and financial tools. Familiarity with water and wastewater treatment operations is essential. The role will provide critical technical support across departments and help implement emerging technologies.Education, Training, and ExperienceGraduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in engineering, and at least ten years of focused engineering experience, or six years of progressively responsible diversified engineering and project management experience, preferably in a wastewater/water utility, with four years at the level of Senior Associate Engineer‑PE; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Licenses and CertificatesValid California Class C driver's license and ability to maintain insurability under the Agency's vehicle insurance program.Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of California.Skills and AbilitiesProven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, conduct performance evaluations, and promote a high-performance, safety‑oriented culture.Skilled at building relationships and communicating technical information effectively with internal departments, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.Ability to operate independently with sound engineering judgment and an understanding of organizational goals and priorities.Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities to assess engineering challenges, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions.Experience with office engineering through reviewing new connection requests, plan checks, issuing construction permits and utility research.Ability to perform hydraulic analysis and experience with modeling software for sewer and pressurized flow systems.EEO StatementThe Inland Empire Utilities Agency does not sponsor employment visas at the time of hire or during the course of employment.
