Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field a plus
- 8+ years of industry experience as an electronics or maintenance technician in renewable energy, semiconductor process equipment, nuclear technology, or high-energy systems environment
- Experience in the prototyping, build, test, and maintenance of complex, high power electronics
- Broad knowledge of high-voltage, high-current power supplies and RF systems
- Ability to troubleshoot systems and down to component level of PCBs
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscope, multimeter, signal analyzers, etc.
- Previous exposure to PLCs is a plus (any type of PLC, no brand preference)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the build and installation of electronics, components, and assemblies for research systems upgrades
- Support the R&D team by troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating custom and off the shelf components
- Read schematics, diagrams, bill of materials, and assembly instructions to guide diagnostics for equipment failures. Troubleshooting from component to systems level.
