Position Overview

We are seeking a senior NETA Level III Lead Field Engineer / Senior Testing Technician to act as the on-site lead for electrical acceptance testing and commissioning on large-scale data center projects. This role is critical to project execution, quality control, and client confidence.

These individuals run the job in the field, coordinating personnel, directing testing activities, and ensuring all work meets NETA acceptance testing standards


Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the on-site lead for NETA acceptance testing and commissioning activities
  • Lead and execute ATS testing and commissioning for mission-critical power systems
  • Oversee all acceptance testing performed by Level I/II technicians
  • Coordinate daily testing plans, sequencing, and manpower with construction and commissioning teams
  • Review, validate, and sign off on NETA acceptance test reports
  • Ensure compliance with NETA ATS standards, project specifications, and safety requirements
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and field oversight
  • Swap or rotate lead responsibilities with another senior lead on long-duration projects
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for testing-related issues on-site

Requirements

  • NETA Level III Certification (required)
  • Extensive experience leading electrical acceptance testing and commissioning
  • Proven background in data center or mission-critical facilities
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • ATS testing
    • Medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems
    • Switch gear, breakers, transformers, and protective devices
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams on complex, long-duration construction projects
