Position Summary:

The Electrical Reliability Engineer is responsible for electrical reliability projects supporting the Maintenance and Reliability organization at the Hopewell Plant by applying Reliability Engineering principles, statistical data analysis and supporting work process. This is a fast-paced position that must thrive in a dynamic team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for overseeing preventative and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment and controlsResponsible for electrical oversight of activities generated by the Management of Change processResponsible for supporting Capital projects from design phase to startupResponsible for identifying and utilizing preferred equipment manufacturers, specialists, and consultantsInspection of new/repaired electrical equipment and making spare parts recommendationsProvide technical assistance to the hourly E&I Technicians work group / contractors, as neededProvide guidance on new electrical equipment technology, plant standards and drawing updatesDevelop and implement Reliability and Maintenance procedures pertaining to electrical equipmentPrepare Reliability Control Plans for critical equipmentPreventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Operator Monitoring, Critical Repair activities, and Spare Parts bills of materials quality assuranceAnalyze failures and recommend corrective actionLead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) teams and use lean principles to perform workParticipate in Reliability-focused Failure Modes and Effects Analyses teams where appropriateDevelop and implement reliability control plans for electrical systems as part of an ongoing asset risk management initiativeLead electrical equipment performance troubleshooting as requested/requiredActively participate in plant safety programs and maintain a knowledge and understanding of Process Safety Management, OSHA requirements, and other safety standardsParticipate in all aspects of AdvanSix Operating SystemsOther duties as required

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a reliability engineerBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field

Additional Qualifications:

Experience in chemical/petrochemical plant maintenance and/or reliability engineering experience Knowledge of electrical design, selection, repair techniques and performance assessmentExperience in electrical reliability (low and medium voltage electrical distribution equipment, VFD's, motors and motor control systems)Knowledge in the use and application of predictive technologies (infrared, testing history, diagnostic software/systems)Familiarity/experience with Fault Current, Coordination and Arc Flash Studies.Experience using SAP work management system, Meridium, or similar system for reliability data collection and analysisExperience with National Electric Code, NFPA 70E and ISA standardsFamiliarity with safety procedures and requirements in a hazardous chemical environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational, leadership, and influencing skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organizationDemonstrated ability to incorporate safety into foundations of work activitiesDemonstrated ability to use influencing skills to accomplish goals and objectivesDemonstrated ability to generate and implement work process improvementsAbility to analyze complex technical issues and develop robust solutionsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesKnowledgeable in repair and troubleshooting techniques for electrical and instrumentation equipmentFamiliarity with Lean and Six Sigma tools for business process improvementDemonstrated ability to be highly motivated, self-directed who can work with limited daily supervision or instructionProficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Ability to work in various weather conditions in an industrial environmentAbility to perform physical tasks in an industrial plant environment including, but not limited to climbing ladders and performing confined space entries

The expected base pay for this position is $95,000 - $142,600
