Who we are:

Fuse builds innovative communications, networking, and computing solutions that improve the sharing of information, video, text, and voice among operators distributed throughout airborne, maritime, and ground environments. We are a technology firm creating in-house software, network, and hardware solutions that support our mission of advancing warfighter capabilities with elegant, user-focused communications, networking, and computing systems.

About this role:

Do you thrive in innovative, design-driven environments with a high level of both accountability and trust? Are you passionate about delivering elegant hardware and software solutions designed with the operator in mind and the right amount of engineering rigor? If so - we want to hear from you! This role will support the agile development of innovative communications, networking, and computing solutions for U.S. defense agencies that improve the sharing of information among warfighters distributed throughout airborne, maritime, and ground environments.

Fuse is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in power systems design and integration to support the development and deployment of advanced tactical communications, networking, and computing platforms. This role will support integrated hardware systems for mission-critical defense applications where power integrity, ruggedization, reliability, and environmental compliance are essential.

The ideal candidate is a technically strong engineer who thrives in fast-paced development environments and can balance disciplined engineering practices with innovative problem-solving. This individual will work cross-functionally with mechanical, systems, software, manufacturing, and integration teams to deliver highly reliable solutions for airborne, maritime, and ground systems.

What you'll do:

  • Lead electrical power architecture development for tactical communications and embedded computing systems
  • Experience with schematic capture and electrical CAD tools such as Altium, OrCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar
  • Design and analyze AC/DC and DC/DC power distribution systems for rugged military environments
  • Develop system-level power budgets, grounding strategies, and load analysis for integrated systems
  • Design and support power conditioning, filtering, protection, and EMI/EMC mitigation solutions
  • Support electrical integration of networking, communications, compute, and RF subsystems
  • Develop and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface documentation
  • Support PCB and chassis-level power integration activities with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Perform power integrity, thermal, and fault analysis to ensure system reliability and compliance
  • Support design reviews, prototype integration, qualification testing, and production transition
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturing partners to define and procure electrical components and assemblies
  • Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis during integration and environmental testing
  • Support compliance activities for MIL-STD- 704, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, and related military standards
  • Mentor junior electrical engineers and support technical task prioritization across multiple projects
