We are looking for a Senior Electrical Instrumentation and Controls EIC Engineer to join our team and take a lead role in the design and execution of projects across the Oil & Gas and Utility sectors. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who can provide technical direction review design work coordinate across disciplines and support client and vendor interactions throughout all phases of a project.
In this role youll be responsible for leading the development of complete electrical and I&C design packages supporting system studies and equipment specification and mentoring less experienced team members. You will work closely with project managers clients and discipline leads to deliver high-quality practical solutions on a range of facility and infrastructure projects.
This is a hands-on design role with opportunities to grow into increased leadership client engagement and project responsibility.
Key Responsibilities Electrical Engineering • Lead the development and review of comprehensive electrical drawing packages including • One-line diagrams • Electrical area classification plans • Grounding layouts • Lighting plans • Raceway-conduit routing plans • Conduit and cable schedules • Power plans • Equipment layouts • Interconnection diagrams • Select specify and review electrical equipment including • Switchgear • MCCs • VFDs • Transformers • UPS • PDCs • Power panels • Perform and oversee electrical system studies including • Load flow • Short circuit • Arc-flash • Coordination using ETAP or SKM • Execute and validate electrical calculations e.g. cable sizing voltage drop conduit sizingfill short circuit levels • Review and approve vendor submittals BOMs and support equipment procurement • Provide technical direction for junior engineers and designers on electrical scope
Instrumentation & Controls I&C • Oversee development of complete I&C design packages including • Instrument location plans • Instrument lists • IO lists • Loop diagrams • Ladder diagrams • Wiring diagrams • Control panel layouts • Terminal diagrams • Panel BOMs • P&IDs in collaboration with process and mechanical teams • Review and guide development of instrument datasheets control philosophies and cause & effect matrices • Specify and validate design for PLCs RTUs SCADA instrumentation and control system components • Provide oversight on network architecture and industrial protocol selection e.g. Modbus DNP3 EthernetIP • Mentor I&C team members on panel design loop development and control strategy implementation • Support FATSAT documentation and field integration planning • Familiarity with I&C design software such as AutoCAD Electrical SPI Intools or similar preferred
Project Development & General Assignments • Lead development of conceptual designs execution strategies and technical portions of proposals • Support or lead scope development cost estimating and schedule planning • Conduct and lead site walks to gather field data and evaluate design constraints • Participate in or lead HAZOP LOPA and other risk or safety reviews • Maintain design quality through internal QAQC reviews checklist compliance and redline resolution • Serve as technical liaison for clients and vendors during design and procurement phases • Mentor junior engineers check their work and provide feedback for technical growth • Contribute to development and improvement of internal design standards tools and templates • Support or lead construction support including RFI responses as-built drawing reviews and commissioning assistance

Qualifications • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program and 7 years electrical engineering experience • EPC project experience preferred • Master Degree can substitute as 1 year of relevant experience • Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures • Strong knowledge of electrical equipment design ANSI and IEEE Standards • Strong computer skills e.g. Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members • Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment • Demonstrated critical thinking skills ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment • Strong attention to detail facilitation team building collaboration organization and problem-solving skills • Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications • Ability to travel • Professional Engineer PE License Preferred
Compensation The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all localstate regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors including but not limited to individual education qualifications prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
