Location: Houston, TX 77045 — On-site (one location)Employment type: Full-time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shiftCompensation: Up to $160,000 per year, depending on experienceAbout the roleA well-established medical device company in south Houston is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to own board-level electronics design across a varied set of projects. The company designs active medical devices and also provides product development consulting, so the work stays varied and challenging.This is a hands‑on, full‑lifecycle role in a regulated, documentation‑driven environment — ideal for an engineer who likes owning a design from schematic through to a compliant, manufacturable product.ResponsibilitiesDesign analog, digital and mixed‑signal circuits for active medical devices and client projects.Produce schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium.Develop low‑power, battery‑powered designs around a microprocessor.Collaborate with firmware / embedded teams to integrate hardware and software.Drive EMC / EMI and IEC 60601 compliance, including testing and documentation.Support designs through verification, validation and the move to manufacturing.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.Embedded / microprocessor‑based hardware experience.Background in a regulated, paperwork‑heavy industry (medical, aerospace, defense, industrial, energy — open on sector).Able to reliably commute to, or relocate to, Houston, TX 77045 before starting (required).
