Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Data Centers

I'm currently supporting a rapidly growing organisation delivering large-scale data centre infrastructure projects and am looking to speak with experienced Electrical Design Engineers who have a background in mission-critical facilities.This is an opportunity to join a highly technical engineering team working on some of the most advanced high-density computing and data centre developments currently being delivered globally.The Opportunity The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of complex electrical systems supporting large-scale data center environments. Working across the full project lifecycle, you'll contribute from early-stage concept design through construction, commissioning, and handover.Key Responsibilities Design resilient and cost-effective electrical distribution systems for mission-critical facilities.Lead electrical design packages from concept through permitting and construction documentation.Develop technical specifications for major electrical equipment and review supplier submittals.Ensure designs are practical, constructable, and aligned with operational requirements.Support construction teams during installation, commissioning, testing, and project handover.Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.Present technical recommendations and support key engineering decisions.Contribute to design standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.Requirements Leading electrical system designs from initial concept through permitting, construction documentation (CD sets), and project delivery.Designing electrical infrastructure for high-density GPU data centres or other mission-critical environments, with a strong focus on constructability.Developing technical specifications for critical electrical equipment and reviewing/approving vendor submittals.Supporting projects during construction and maintaining design ownership through commissioning, testing, and final handover.Confidently presenting and defending technical decisions to senior stakeholders, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.Preferred Experience Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent.Experience with SKM, ETAP, or similar power systems analysis software.Expertise in switchgear, UPS systems, generators, transformers, and critical electrical infrastructure.Location: Austin, TX (preferred) + travel Compensation: $200,000-$300,000 base salary + equity To learn more, please apply or contact me directly for a confidential discussion.#J-18808-Ljbffr
