Senior E-4B Field Service Rep - Defense

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Field Service Representative to support our E-4 Program in Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska with regular travel to San Antonio, Texas.

The candidate will work closely with our Air Force customers at Offutt AFB, Government representative in the E-4B System Program Office, and internal Boeing personnel throughout the Boeing Company, but specifically at OKC and San Antonio.


You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.

Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements.

Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on On the Job Training to assist Air Force customer with troubleshooting and repair of aircraft and systems
  • Provide informal training on relevant E-4B systems, components, special tools/test equipment, and aircraft Technical Orders and other manuals
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to support aircraft and systems modifications
  • Participate in technical reviews
  • Participate in E-4B flights as necessary
  • Emphasize safety aspects to be observed on the E-4B aircraft
  • Performs troubleshooting procedures for multiple systems and specialty coverage
  • Resolves maintenance and operational issues
  • Monitors product performance and makes recommendations for resolution of potential issues
  • Analyzes technical data and evaluates maintenance procedures
  • Develops and conducts ad hoc training

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • Must have minimum of 7 years of experience in either: 747-200 airframe structures, rigging, navigation and flight avionics, or heavy maintenance; E-4B electrical/environmental, aircraft systems, or mission communications systems; or CF6-50 engines and GTCP660 APU
  • Minimum 5 years of E-4B aircraft experience required
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work.  Failure to relocate will be considered as a resignation.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Previous experience in either formal or informal training techniques (to provide training to our E-4B Air Force customer)
  • Ability to motivate employees and use of tact and diplomacy
  • Familiar with Air Force policies and procedures, to include quality deficiency reports, Tech Order changes, and Safety aspects related to E-4B aircraft
  • Ability to travel to locations other than Main Operating Base (Offutt AFB) and to work overtime as necessary
