With over 400 million TVs shipped annually and consumers engaging for upwards of five hours daily, the television remains the center of the home entertainment experience. Our mission is to accelerate global platform adoption, providing an expansive, highly optimized OS foundation that enables a thriving, interconnected ecosystem for OEM device partners, global operators, and content developers.
The rise in Internet delivered TV services (aka OTT) has accelerated the transformation of how consumers watch TV. Gemini is bringing another evolution around user expectations across all form factors, and most importantly on the largest form factor in the home. The Android TV team is re-defining TV experience to make it highly personalized, Google-smart, content and voice-forward, and powered by AI- helping users access the world's media and knowledge.
AndroidTV is an industry leading platform that is fast being adopted globally by TV manufacturers and operators. As the Senior Director of Software Engineering, you will provide definitive technical leadership to expand our footprint through high-stakes hardware partnerships, drive execution velocity across core Android OS integrations, and lead a software engineering organization to deliver the future of living room computing.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $364000 - $510000 (USD) + 40% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits
