The Senior Director, Revenue Operations ("Director") is a hands-on, global position responsible for overseeing order-to-cash cycle. This role's responsibilities include overseeing and optimizing revenue recognition practices ensuring compliance with accounting standards and driving financial accuracy.
Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key Results
People:
Creates a positive team experience
Provides leadership and guidance to global team to ensure all revenue cycle activities are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and meet deadlines.
Client:
Drives timely revenue close, prepare reports, and presents results to leadership during regularly scheduled meetings
Oversees and provides revenue recognition analysis and reporting for month end close process
Ensures compliance with and maintain documentation related to revenue recognition policies and standards
Analyzes enterprise-wide revenue cycle trends and provides insight into strategic implications
Interfaces with Principals and Managers related to client contracts, billing requirements, revenue recognition, and customer account collections
Value:
Provides detailed insight into revenue fluctuations, investigating transactional drivers between forecasted revenue and actuals; works closely with billing operations and service delivery on root cause
Timely identifies and problem solves issues as they arise and escalate as needed
Continuously monitors and enhances billing, collections, and other revenue cycle functions to optimize performance
Develops and implements policies and procedures for order to cash activities that are compliant with regulatory and organizational guidelines
Participates in process and system reviews and improvements, including integration of acquired entities and alignment of policies and procedures
Actively monitors compliance with revenue recognition policies to ensure compliance with GAAP and ASC 606
Assists with other projects as needed and other assigned duties
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent with at least 10+ years of Accounting and Management experience. Other experience includes:
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, exposure to accounting and billing systems, and internet navigation/research.
Certificates and Licenses:
Certified Public Accountant license required.
Valid driver's license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Finance Department. Needs to have strong leadership abilities and presence. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm's policies and applicable laws
