Overview A healthcare organization in southern New Mexico is seeking a Senior Director of Physician Services to provide strategic and operational leadership across employed physician practices. This role is responsible for driving performance, standardizing operations, and aligning physician services with broader organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the overall administration and performance of physician practice operations across the market
Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, quality outcomes, and financial performance
Partner with executive leadership to align physician services with organizational objectives
Oversee onboarding, startup, and integration of new and acquired physician practices
Manage and mentor Market Directors and practice leadership teams
Monitor financial performance, budgets, and variance reporting; implement corrective action plans as needed
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain operational policies and procedures
Collaborate with HR and leadership to design and execute training, onboarding, and professional development programs
Support physician alignment and integration into the broader healthcare delivery system
Evaluate and optimize EMR utilization and practice workflows to improve productivity and outcomes
Conduct site visits and maintain strong relationships with physicians and operational teams
Assist in due diligence and operational planning for practice acquisitions
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field
Completion of a formal program in Healthcare Management or Business Administration
Minimum of 10 years of experience managing physician practices
Ability to relocate to the Las Cruces area within 45 days
Willingness to travel locally as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field
Ability to relocate within 30 days
