Piper Companies is seeking to hire a Senior Director of Information Security for a hybrid role based in Chapel Hill, NC. The Senior Director of Information Security role will support a rapidly growing healthcare technology organization that delivers innovative, AI-driven SaaS solutions designed to improve health outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance workforce wellbeing. The Senior Director of Information Security requires 3 days per week onsite in Chapel Hill, NC.
Responsibilities of the Senior Director of Information Security:
- Own and lead the organization's Information Security compliance program, including SOC 2 audits, external assessments, security questionnaires, and policy governance
- Serve as the primary client-facing InfoSec leader, acting as the "face" of security for enterprise customers through audits, reviews, and security assessments
- Partner closely with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure appropriate security controls, monitoring, and infrastructure and application security best practices are implemented
- Oversee data protection strategies, mitigate risk of data breaches, and contribute to the organization's AI security and governance framework
Qualifications of the Senior Director of Information Security:
- 10+ years of experience across information security, risk management, compliance, and IT in high-growth environments
- Strong experience with frameworks such as SOC 2, NIST, ISO, and HIPAA; strong collaboration skills across legal, engineering, and business teams
- Background in technology-driven or SaaS environments with knowledge of data security, infrastructure, and application security best practices
- Strong experience owning or supporting Information Security compliance programs (SOC 2, audits, assessments, and security questionnaires)
- Ability to interface directly with external clients and stakeholders, leading security reviews, audits, and assessments
Compensation for the Senior Director of Information Security includes:
Salary: $190,000 - $220,000
