Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Director of IT Security (SaaS) to lead enterprise-wide security strategy for a rapidly growing organization in the healthcare-related industry. The Senior Director of IT Security (SaaS) will play a critical leadership role in building and scaling security governance, risk management, and compliance programs while partnering cross-functionally to align security initiatives with business objectives.
Responsibilities of the Senior Director of IT Security (SaaS):
- Lead and mature the organization's information security, risk, and compliance programs in alignment with business goals
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and governance frameworks
- Partner with engineering, product, and business teams to embed security into software development and operational workflows
- Drive strategic initiatives related to cloud security across virtualized and hybrid environments
- Oversee regulatory compliance efforts including SOC, HIPAA/HITRUST, NIST, and ISO frameworks
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership
- Assess and mitigate organizational risk while ensuring alignment with industry best practices
- Lead security awareness and training initiatives across the organization
Qualifications of the Senior Director of IT Security (SaaS):
- 8+ years of experience across information security, risk management, compliance, and IT within high-growth environments
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks including SOC, HIPAA/HITRUST, NIST, and ISO
- Proven ability to design and implement security policies and governance programs, ideally within a health-related business context
- Commercial mindset with demonstrated success partnering across business and technical teams
- Deep understanding of software engineering workflows and ability to align security practices with development processes
- Experience securing cloud environments and working within virtualized infrastructure
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Compensation for the Senior Director of IT Security includes (SaaS):
- Salary range: $190,000 - $220,000 depending on experience
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
- Hybrid or flexible work options in the Chapel Hill, NC area
