This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies that reduce risk, prevent injury, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.Client DetailsMy client is New York based foodservice company.Description* Lead company-wide safety culture initiatives to drive accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, DOT, EPA) and company EHS policies.* Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive EHS programs and procedures across all departments.* Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure regulatory compliance and identify improvement opportunities.* Oversee design, delivery, and tracking of all safety and certification training for employees, contractors, and management.* Lead investigations into accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.* Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, auditors, and safety vendors.* Coach, mentor, and manage the EHS team-including the EHS Manager, Occupational Health Supervisor, and Safety Specialist-to ensure development and high performance.* Establish and monitor safety performance metrics to track progress and influence strategic decisions.* Work on auto claims, workers compensation, and general liability comp Profile* Bachelor's degree (required) or Master's degree (preferred) in Occupational or Environmental Health and Safety or related field.* 10+ years of progressive Safety/EHS experience, ideally in a food manufacturing or plant environment.* Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Hazard Control Manager (CHCM).* Strong knowledge of OSHA 30 (General Industry), DOT, EPA, and other relevant regulations.* Proven experience designing and leading safety programs and training initiatives.* Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.* Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence at all organizational levels.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook).* Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
