Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Senior Director of Client Services for an innovative education services organization supporting K-12 schools with strategic financial and operational solutions. This is an onsite opportunity based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Senior Director of Client Services serves as a trusted financial advisor to school leaders, overseeing strategic client partnerships while ensuring exceptional financial service delivery. This leadership role combines client relationship management, team development, and operational oversight to help schools achieve long-term financial success and compliance. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in New Mexico school finance, excels at solving complex financial challenges, and is passionate about supporting educational organizations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the primary strategic advisor for key client schools, providing expert guidance on budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and long-term financial planning.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with school leaders and governing boards while driving client satisfaction, retention, and account growth.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering accountability, collaboration, and exceptional client service.
Oversee regional financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, audit preparation, and service delivery standards.
Manage complex client issues, oversee onboarding for new partners, and ensure timely resolution of high-priority financial matters.
Support business development efforts by identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts and participating in prospective client engagements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Deep knowledge of New Mexico public school finance, funding, compliance, and reporting requirements.
Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a New Mexico Public Education Department School Business Official (SBO) license.
Demonstrated success serving as a strategic financial advisor and building strong relationships with executive leaders, school administrators, and governing boards.
Proven leadership experience managing client-facing finance teams and delivering high-quality financial services in a collaborative environment.
Exceptional communication, presentation, problem-solving, and client relationship management skills.
