Day in the life
You start the morning scanning manufacturing and distribution KPIs, spotting trends in throughput, first-pass yield, and on‑time shipments. A quick stand‑up aligns supervisors on the day’s priorities: a value stream improvement on the SMT line, a material flow tweak to cut handling time, and a safety housekeeping audit. Midday, you sync with the CFO and other key executives to tie operational outcomes to financial targets. The afternoon is a mix of coaching teams on lean methods, reviewing capital equipment proposals, and partnering with design engineering to smooth an upcoming product launch with strong DFM input. You wrap by documenting process changes, updating MRP II parameters, and confirming that ISO, HAZMAT, and corporate standards are fully met.
