Job Overview The Senior Director of Planned Giving, at Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation (Foundation), is responsible for providing Planned Giving expertise, leadership, and strong direction for the Planned Giving program. Will lead, in partnership with the Vice President of Philanthropy, the development and implementation of strategies to market and secure deferred as well as current use gifts in a way that cultivates and solicits donors interested in impacting child health initiatives, including current donors, board members, and qualified prospects. This role will also be active in the local estate planning and professional advisor community to help keep Children's Hospital Colorado top of mind for their clients' charitable giving. This position will prepare and implement a business plan and budget that aligns with principal and leadership/major giving annual revenue goals and ensure activity meets long term strategic objectives. This role is responsible for planning strategies and practices that nurture, solicit and steward existing and prospective giving from all assigned donor portfolios. This individual will also carry a fundraising portfolio and be responsible for metrics created to generate individual revenue and all Foundation revenue in Planned Giving and will have reasonable travel expectations to support regional and national philanthropy. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Philanthropy. Additional Information Department Name: CHCHS Job Status: Full time, 40 hours per week. Shift: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Qualifications REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Eight or more years working in a fundraising, estate planning and/or financial Planned Giving environment. The Senior Director of Planned Giving will apply the following knowledge and/or the abilities as follows: * Demonstrate solid knowledge of Planned Giving and successfully navigate complex planned gifts and estates or settlements on behalf of the Foundation. * Lead the Planned Giving business unit and oversee, encourage, and achieve revenue goals for future and realized pla ned gifts. * Interact with donors and effectively communicate with Foundation leadership on progress. * Ability to engage with legal, financial advisory, and tax planning community. * Collaborate with internal colleagues about donors in their portfolio and apply training as needed. * Maintain a high level of confidentiality, diplomacy, discretion, and lead in ethical fundraising practice. * Solicit and have financial knowledge and expertise with a diverse population of donors. * A proven and successful track record of recorded proposals and commitments and direct experience with personal solicitation and program development * Exhibit strong presentation and facilitation skills with demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills. * Ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization, including Board members and Hospital staff. * Proficiency in computer skills, using MS Office software and other related software for donor record management (e.g., CRM) * Capability to work independently and take ownership and responsibility for autonomous actions. * Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse group of constituents. * Ability to be highly organized, accurate and able to meet multiple deadlines on a timely basis. * Able to gather, analyze, and synthesize information and data from multiple sources and summarize...
