General Information:

The Senior Director of Finance at Pacific Clinics will play a critical role in strengthening financial performance, enhancing fiscal accountability, and supporting sustainable growth while ensuring alignment with nonprofit healthcare funding models, regulatory requirements, and organizational priorities. The ideal candidate brings a balance of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and collaborative leadership, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights that support both operational excellence and the delivery of high-quality behavioral and mental health services throughout California.

Overview:

Oversee the financial planning and analysis functions within an organization. Responsible for Entity, Corporate and Division level analysis including developing financial forecasts, financial data, monitoring financial performance, analyzing complex issues, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. Manages complex projects to support and address fiscal issues, and drive business growth and profitability. Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies and initiatives.

 

Compensation We Offer  

  • The initial compensation for this position ranges from $160,374 - $191,185 annually, depending on experience, credentials, location, and internal equity considerations.

Hybrid Requirements

This position is hybrid and is not eligible for fully remote work. Hybrid roles at Pacific Clinics require a semi-regular, in-person presence with onsite expectations determined by business and operational needs. Candidates must reside within reasonable commuting distance of a Pacific Clinics headquarters location to engage directly and consistently with finance, accounting, and operational leadership teams as required.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides strategic leadership over the organization's financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning aligned with mission-driven goals.
  • Develops and implements financial strategies to ensure long-term organizational sustainability and effective use of funding sources.
  • Oversees preparation of financial statements, grant reports, dashboards, and regulatory filings as needed to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Manages Corporate and Division level annual budgeting and financial planning processes in collaboration with Finance and Accounting teams and executive leadership and program managers.
  • Reports the month-end and year-end Entity and Division results ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to executive and senior leadership.
  • Coordinates and leads financial reviews and implement recommendations for continuous process improvements.
  • Supervises, mentors, and develops a finance team capable of supporting a growing and complex nonprofit organization.
  • Partners with Fund Development, Corporate Functions and Division Entity teams to align financial practices with grant management, fundraising strategies, and Agency needs.
  • Presents clear, mission-centered financial updates and strategic recommendations to the senior leadership and Executive Team.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required as well as 8-10+ years of directly relevant experience in FP&A or financial strategy or combination of equivalent education and experience, to include:
  • Minimum at least 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling functions in a mid to large-sized organization.
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams and influencing senior leadership.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems; proficiency in Excel and BI tools required.
