Acrotech is expanding! Our company focuses on three key areas: oncology, dermatology, and biosimilars. We are currently building out a new Dermatology Business Unit to launch ADQUEY a novel treatment for mild to moderate Atopic Dermatitis. We are seeking a Senior Director, Dermatology Marketing, to lead our launch.

Job Overview :

The Senior Director, Dermatology Marketing will be the Brand Lead for ADQUEY and serve as the primary point to launch the brand. You will lead the brand strategy and execution for our new dermatology asset from pre-launch planning through commercialization. You will be responsible for achieving and exceeding revenue goals for ADQUEY and report to the Associate Vice President, Marketing.

 

This role will help build and lead a team of marketers to develop and execute the strategic direction and provide resources to support personal and non-personal promotion. As a small company, the role will require you to roll up your sleeves and be both a coach and player. Additionally, you will help support Acrotech’s objective in business development, playing a key role in the evaluation of potential products to bring into the dermatology portfolio.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the launch lead for ADQUEY partnering cross functionally with the entire organization to ensure all aspects of the launch are being coordinated both strategically and operationally and any unexpected events are being addressed and communicated to the broader team.
  • Hire, lead, manage, and develop a strong team of marketing personnel to achieve and exceed company goals.
  • Lead the launch and future brand plans by developing strategies and tactics, including the allocation of resources to meet or exceed Acrotech US strategic, market share, sales, and profitability objectives as well as identifying opportunities to activate and engage customers.  Effective planning includes leading alignment of cross functional stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement new approaches to marketing. Identify, build, and launch new and innovative approaches to customer engagement, working with internal and external parties.
  • Develop strong business relationships with Key Opinion Leaders that can shape and influence in-line product development and business opportunities.
  • Mentor other developing Acrotech team members as required.
  • Provide commercial input to Acrotech’s future pipeline, including helping to evaluate products and presenting Acrotech’s business capabilities to potential partners.
  • Represent Acrotech Commercial in key meetings with alliance partners including potentially being a part of any joint steering committees required by partnership agreements.
  • Participate in any special projects assigned by the Head of Marketing.The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, preferably with experience in marketing novel treatments for atopic dermatitis. You will have a deep understanding of how to successfully engage with payers, providers, and patients. You must have a track record of growing brands and portfolios and leading/building high performance teams. Key competencies for success in the position include:

You must be able to foster a performance culture, using metrics and processes.  You have experience improving business practices and bringing new ideas to the table which can help Acrotech build new marketing capabilities.  You must have exceptional project management skills.
  • Strategic Thinking- The position will be able to assess a range of variables including market trends and opportunities, prescription data, competition, etc., to position Acrotech products in an increasingly competitive and dynamic marketplace. You must be knowledgeable about current omni-channel marketing tactics in dermatology (or similar marketplace) and be able uncover non-traditional approaches to customer engagement and service, bringing a strong customer orientation across payers, providers, and patients.
  • Collaboration and Influencing- The successful candidate will have the collaboration and influencing skills needed to work closely with his/her peers and their teams (e.g. Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Sales, etc.) to ensure implementation of Acrotech’s strategy. Demonstrated ability to influence up and down the organization on both strategic and tactical matters is required.

Qualifications - Skills & Requirements:
  • In additional to HCP marketing expertise, candidate must have current experience with patient, digital, omni-channel, and influencer marketing.
  • Demonstrated success leading previous brand launches is a requirement with the experience aligning key stakeholders and holding them accountable through the entire launch process.
  • Must have experience leading the development of the annual brand strategy including developing the strategic and tactical plan, allocation of budget, and executing the plan on time and on budget.
  • Experience working in cross functional matrix environments with exceptional influencing skills up and down the organization to align the entire launch team.
  • Experience leading agency partners.
  • Experience implementing marketing plans, measuring and monitoring progress towards and exceeding marketing objectives.
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) are a must
  • Understand, maintain and comply with all Acrotech Compliance Policies and Procedures as we adhere to FDA, OIG and Pharma Guidelines
  • The role will be based at Acrotech Headquarters in East Windsor, NJ
  • Ability to travel up to 50%



Education & Experience:
  • BA/BS degree in business, science, or other related discipline.
  • 10 years pharmaceutical experience
  • 3 years at a Director of Marketing level with at least 8 years US marketing experience working directly in a pharmaceutical company (excluding agency/consulting work)
  • Must have 4 years of previous experience directly managing a team with demonstrated success in developing a team.
  • Dermatology experience is highly preferred. Experience with a novel atopic dermatitis brand desired. Will consider others with exceptional experience leading launches in similar markets to dermatology.
