Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Director, Data Policy and Platform Management to join a leading organization within the information technology sector. This role is responsible for defining and executing enterprise-wide data strategy, overseeing digital platforms, and ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable data ecosystems that support business growth and innovation. This role will be hybrid in Washington, DC!

Responsibilities of the Senior Director, Data Policy and Platform Management include:

  • Lead enterprise data strategy to ensure high-quality, secure, and accessible data across the organization
  • Identify data sources and establish end-to-end data process flows including data cleansing, transformation, manipulation, and analysis
  • Lead data architecture design and governance reviews, including planning, monitoring initiatives, and stakeholder communication
  • Provide technical guidance on optimized data access, retention strategies, and enterprise data flow improvements
  • Partner with business teams to enable governed data sharing, reporting, and analytics capabilities
  • Collaborate across departments to support enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives
  • Oversee architecture, maintenance, and performance of digital platforms including CMS systems, enterprise websites, CRM, CDP, AMS platforms, and APIs
  • Ensure system uptime, scalability, high availability, and secure configurations across data platforms
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and enterprise governance standards
  • Oversee database management and data integrity functions, including leadership of a small data team (3 FTEs)
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring service quality, performance, and contract compliance
  • Lead execution of data-related initiatives, including planning, delivery, and ongoing optimization
  • Drive continuous improvement across data systems, reporting capabilities, and platform performance

Qualifications of the Senior Director, Data Policy and Platform Management include:

  • Bachelor's degree required; technical discipline preferred
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in data, analytics, or technology organizations
  • Strong experience in KPI development, business metrics, and performance measurement frameworks
  • Experience with data modeling, data architecture, and enterprise reporting systems
  • Proven experience modernizing legacy systems and enabling data-driven business solutions
  • Strong background in web-based architecture and digital platform management
  • Understanding of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and analytics platforms
  • Experience leading large-scale platform implementations, cloud migrations, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Strong technical knowledge of APIs, CMS platforms, CRM systems, CDPs, and data lake architectures
  • Familiarity with personalization tools and modern digital engagement platforms preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and vendor relationships
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable data and technology solutions

Compensation for the Senior Director, Data Policy and Platform Management includes:

  • Salary: $130,000 - $180,000 depending on experience
