Provide executive leadership for the Company’s business and economic development strategy across all service territories. Drive growth among large commercial and industrial customers, foster strategic partnerships with government and community stakeholders, and position the Company to compete effectively as energy markets, technologies, and customer expectations evolve. Serve as a key external spokesperson and internal strategist, aligning economic development, marketing, regulatory engagement, and new business initiatives with the Company’s long-term financial, regulatory, and reputational objectives.
This position could be located in Kentucky, Rhode Island or Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership & Growth
· Lead enterprise-wide business and economic development strategy, including customer attraction, retention, site development, and new market opportunities.
·Develop and defend data-driven business cases supporting new investments, rate structures, tariffs, products, and services.
·Translate approved strategies into executable plans that align with Company financial, operational, and regulatory objectives.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
· Serve as senior executive liaison to large commercial and industrial customers, government officials, economic development organizations, and community partners.
·Position the Company as a preferred energy partner through trusted, long-term stakeholder relationships.
·Act as a visible Company spokesperson in public, educational, and economic development forums.
Regulatory, Policy & External Affairs
·Serve as subject-matter expert and key witness in regulatory proceedings related to economic development, large-load growth, rates, and tariffs.
·Support regulatory filings, investor communications, and external affairs with clear analysis and effective messaging.
·Monitor and proactively manage policy, legislative, and reputational issues affecting Company growth and customer programs.
Innovation & New Business Development
·Drive development and deployment of innovative energy solutions, products, and services addressing evolving customer needs.
·Collaborate across internal functions to ensure alignment of new offerings with operational capabilities and regulatory requirements.
Leadership & Team Development
·Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team capable of executing business and economic development strategies.
·Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture emphasizing accountability, continuous improvement, and stakeholder value.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
·15+ years of progressive experience in business development, economic development, energy, utilities, or a related industry.
·Demonstrated success working with senior executives, public-sector stakeholders, and large commercial and industrial customers.
·Strong working knowledge of state and federal utility regulation, energy markets, and policy.
·Proven strategic leadership, analytical capability, and executive-level written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent).
· Experience providing regulatory testimony or representing an organization in high-profile external forums.
· Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional teams and complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
