JOB SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the area administrator, plan, organize, direct and control the activities, services and operations of the assigned Districts business management services, including revenue and expenditure control, cash management, budgeting, accounting, payroll, and accounts payable.
This is an administrative position, exempt from overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, with responsibility for formulation and recommendation of district policies, regulations and budget decisions related to the area of responsibility.
Initial placement on the salary schedule will be commensurate with education and experience, along with a cell phone allowance stipend. Classified administrators serve under contract and make contributions toward PERS (a retirement plan). Benefit package includes comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans, life insurance, sick leave, and 22 days of vacation per year. Administrators serve district-wide and may be assigned to the San Jacinto Campus, the Menifee Valley Campus, the Temecula Valley Campus or any District facility. Additional openings that become available prior to the end of the hiring process may also be filled from the qualified applicants.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
Federal, State, and local laws, regulations and policies governing fiscal requirements for community colleges and/or other educational institutions, including those related to categorical/restricted programs.
Principles of sound fiscal management for public sector organizations.
Principles of accounting, budgeting, auditing, and finance.
Financial analysis and projection techniques.
Preparation and analysis of comprehensive financial reports, statements and documents.
Principles of supervision and training.
Organizational planning methods and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:
A Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in accounting or a business-related field; (attach transcripts) AND
Six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in a computerized accounting environment. Related experience must include two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
Travel will be required for this position between District locations. Incumbent will be responsible for securing transportation to assigned locations.

Work is performed primarily in a standard office setting with travel from site to site. The incumbent must be able to work in a fast-paced office environment with background noise and a high stress level. Incumbent may interact with upset individuals in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.
