Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a collaborative and results-driven leader to serve as Senior Director, Auxiliary Services. Reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Administration, the successful candidate will provide strategic, operational and financial oversight for the following departments, campus programs, and services:
- Campus Bookstore
- Campus Vending
- Campus Mail Services
- Conferences and Events
- Dining Services (including catering)
- One Card program
- Phebe Anna Thorne School
- Transportation
As a member of the Finance and Administration leadership team, this role partners closely with colleagues to advance strategic priorities, meet revenue targets, and ensure sound budget management.

Characteristic Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership across all portfolio units by partnering with auxiliary unit managers to set performance expectations and strategic goals, while driving innovation, modernization, and operational efficiency in support of the College's mission and strategic direction.
- Monitor the revenue, expenses and financial performance of the auxiliary services, staffing and operating and capital budgets. Develop business plans and financial projections; ensure appropriate internal controls and risk management. Oversee daily operations of auxiliary units and establish performance metrics and service standards.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration among auxiliary units and key campus partners including Facilities, Library and Information Technology Services, and the Undergraduate College Division to promote communication, creative problem-solving, and seamless operations.
- Ensure high quality customer service. Lead improvement efforts to enhance processes and strengthen service delivery and promote a culture of service excellence.
- Identify and strengthen opportunities for collaboration with Haverford College and Swarthmore College by evaluating current partnerships and facilitating improvements as necessary.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and effective leader with a strong record of success in auxiliary services and project management, preferably within higher education or a comparable nonprofit environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, hospitality management, higher education administration, or related field required. Master's degree in related fields preferred.
- Minimum seven years of progressively responsible operations experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing, leading, and engaging high-performing teams.
- Experience in higher education auxiliary services and managing service providers preferred.
- Experience meeting revenue targets, managing budgets and overseeing program implementation.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, foster collaboration, and build trust with team members, faculty, staff, and students, and campus visitors.
