Job Description
The Senior Director, Account Executive – Super Regional Clients reports to the segment lead within the Super Regional team for North American Financial Institutional Sales. This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients within the Super Regional segment, growing Visa’s business with these clients, developing and implementing client-focused operating models, and creating comprehensive account plans that deliver the One Visa approach -- rooted in Visa’s strategy to grow consumer payments, advance new payment flows, and utilize value-added services to optimize client business and strengthen Visa’s partnerships.
Key responsibilities include annual planning with clients, organizing multi-functional teams to manage and implement a VAS book of work with each client, conducting quarterly business reviews, and executing executive engagement strategies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to build relationships internally, collaborate across all client levels, and identify mutually beneficial business opportunities by leveraging Visa’s products, solutions, and services.
Maintain a deep understanding of the payments industry, competitive landscape, Visa’s leadership role, and product offerings.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and clients to develop and execute comprehensive account plans across business lines.
Drive the One Visa approach through strategic account planning, focused on growing consumer payments, advancing new flows, and maximizing value-added services.
Work effectively with Visa colleagues to deliver the best products, solutions, and services to clients.
Consult with clients to identify and capitalize on opportunities to grow their payments business, while advancing Visa’s priorities.
Lead internal matrixed teams across key functional areas to deliver premier service and the One Visa approach to clients.
Lead client deal negotiations and independently manage on-site client visits with stakeholders at all levels, including line managers and C-level executives.
Coordinate and host client and partner events such as Innovation Center visits, seminars, and webinars.
Serve as a highly visible team member, actively participating in meetings, leading discussions, and providing internal advisory support.
Ensure implementation and achievement of annual goals and plans.
Participate in and lead various ad-hoc internal projects.
Lead by example within the Super Regional Account team, Financial Institution Sales, and throughout Visa.
Challenge the status quo and explore innovative approaches to business operations.
Represent Visa at industry meetings, trade shows, and external speaking engagements.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
Extensive functional and industry expertise, with subject matter expertise in multiple skill sets, business areas, or products.
Demonstrated ability to learn and implement effective sales strategies for new payment products and services.
Proven track record in developing, leading, and closing complex, competitive sales efforts.
Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
Ability to efficiently implement strategic initiatives with professionalism and strong troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence and ability to deliver presentations to audiences at all organizational levels, including executives.
Experience in strategically leading internal and external resources and nurturing cross-functional relationships.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to foster new and existing business relationships.
Comprehensive understanding of financial indicators and ability to summarize business and financial data for decision-making purposes.

The estimated salary range for this position is $207,600.00 to $ 332,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
