We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic skilled in diagnostics, service and repair of Mack commercial trucks to join our team. Based in Lancaster, SC, this role is vital for maintaining our fleet of commercial vehicles ensuring operational efficiency. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering quality construction services.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs inspection, maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of diesel engines.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems
  • Utilizes computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes
  • Replaces and/or refurbishes parts
  • Maintains maintenance logs according to requirements
  • Ensures services provided follow all quality standards and safety procedures
  • May perform DOT annual inspections on vehicles

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic electrical knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Commercial Driver's License preferred but not required
  • Certificate in Automotive & Diesel Technology preferred
