Job Title: SDET – QA Automation Engineer, Benchmark & Index Management (Hybrid)
Location: Fort Mill, SC

Key Functions:

As a SDET – QA Automation Engineer in Benchmark & Index Management, the individual will be responsible for the Automation of Quality Assurance (QA) through a variety of test strategies for business-critical applications, developing high-quality test software. The candidate will have experience in automated testing solutions for business problems that involve complex User Interfaces, data intensive operations and process hand-offs, and will be required to provide technical expertise, ownership and responsibility in the end-to-end software delivery cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to and lead testing through high-quality functional and automation test scenarios.
• Identify, prioritize, and perform tasks throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop tools and applications required for automation by producing clean, efficient, and scalable code utilizing Python-based test frameworks.
• Automate tSQL Stored Procedure regression, component, and unit tests using tSQLt and pytest.
• Utilize Generative AI and Machine Learning to validate and detect anomalous data, predict inefficient processes, and implement automatic test case generation.
• Perform database and process performance testing using benchmarking frameworks and AI-based anomaly and drift detection.
• Advocate for and implement engineering best practices, including automation, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Ensure high-quality, reliable products through automated regression test frameworks.
• Collaborate with business and engineering teams to deliver products, enhancements, and solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Drive engineering excellence through mentorship, peer reviews, and automation testing best practices.
• Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 7+ years of experience as a Software Developer in Test (SDET) or QA Automation Engineer in large-scale, data-intensive environments.
• Strong experience in test case design and automation testing using Python frameworks.
• Proficiency with QA automation tools and technologies such as pytest and pandas.
• Significant experience with MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including data analysis and test script execution.
• Experience with database migration/testing tools such as Liquibase and Flyway.
• Strong Python programming skills for automation and test development.
• Experience leveraging AI/ML and Data Science technologies such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyCaret for anomaly detection and test optimization.
• Familiarity with performance and non-functional testing tools including JMeter, Apache Benchmark, k6, SQL Profiler, etc.
• Experience automating backend and middleware business logic built on C#.NET and SQL Server, with frontend technologies such as Angular or Silverlight.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud technologies, including EC2, with preferred experience in EKS, Lambda, and other AWS-native services.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and software engineering best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments focused on collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Exposure to Business Analysis, Technical Analysis, Delivery Management, or Technology Governance is a plus.
• Financial Markets experience in Equities and/or Fixed Income is preferred.
