About the Role

At Old Navy, we’re all about making great style accessible for everyone - and denim is at the heart of that. In this role, you’ll help shape and bring to life our Men’s Denim assortment, designing product that’s trend-right, versatile, and built to last. You’ll partner closely with leadership to execute the creative direction, using your denim expertise to deliver product that feels fresh, relevant, and unmistakably Old Navy.

We’re looking for someone who’s curious, collaborative, and excited to push the category forward - while always keeping the customer front and center.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with leadership to execute the creative direction for Men’s Denim, translating vision into compelling, customer-relevant product
  • Research trends, market insights, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities in fits, washes, fabrics, and finishes
  • Design and develop seasonal denim concepts—from initial sketches through final product—across a range of fits and styles
  • Bring a strong point of view to washes, fabrications, and construction details that elevate the assortment
  • Collaborate closely with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, and Sourcing to ensure seamless execution from concept to customer
  • Create and communicate clear design intent through tech packs and ongoing partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Champion innovation in denim, including new fabrications, sustainability efforts, and wash techniques
  • Present ideas and concepts to leadership, incorporating feedback and iterating quickly
  • Lead your team with a coaching mentality, focusing on developing future talent with care

Who You Are

  • Deep understanding of men’s denim, including fit, fabrication, washes, and construction is preferred
  • Strong design aesthetic with the ability to translate trends through a commercial, customer-focused lens
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and managing multiple seasons at once
  • Skilled in Adobe Illustrator with a strong technical foundation in garment construction
  • Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for proportion, finish, and consistency
  • A natural collaborator and strong communicator who builds strong cross-functional relationships
  • Passionate about denim and excited to evolve the category in meaningful ways

About the Company

T

The Gap

Doris and Don Fisher opened the first Gap store in 1969 with a simple idea -- to make it easier to find a pair of jeans and a commitment to do more. Over the last 46 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with five brands -- Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Athleta and Intermix. Gap's clothes are available in 90 countries worldwide through 3,300 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing. Many companies work to improve their services and businesses every day by using GAP Testers who anonymously go into various places and report back to the companies on everything from cleanliness, customer service to quality control. Being a tester is a very flexible, fun job with lots of benefits.
