Senior Design Engineer / Design Engineer

Tekmar are recruiting for a Design / Senior Design Engineer to strengthen the Engineering Team. The role sits within a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is focused on delivering innovative technical solutions for subsea asset protection across the Offshore Wind and Oil & Gas sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering Team, supporting the design and development of cable protections systems, taking products from concept design through to project delivery.

Working closely with internal stakeholders across Projects, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, QHSE and Testing, the Design / Senior Design Engineer will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions within a continuous improvement environment.

This role is suited to an individual who is motivated to contribute to a high-performing Engineering Team.

The role duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Support the design and development of products, taking concepts through to project delivery.
• Produce conceptual and detailed designs using CAD tools and engineering principles.
• Perform engineering analysis using calculations, simulations and appropriate design methods.
• Create and review technical documentation, including drawings, calculations and specifications.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams across Projects, Manufacturing Supply Chain, Testing and QHSES.
• Contribute to the development of new products, materials and manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate and improve design performance through testing, analysis and continuous improvement activities.
• Support project delivery, ensuring engineering outputs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Participate in internal external meetings, communicating technical information clearly.

Senior Design Engineer Level

• Lead technical aspects of projects and co-ordinate engineering activities.
• Review client requirements and provide technical guidance on deliverables.
• Oversee and approve engineering outputs, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Lead design reviews and support decision-making on complex engineering challenges.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.

General

• Perform all duties in compliance with existing legislation and company rules and procedures.
• All other duties as required by the Executive management of the business.
