Job Summary:

The Sr. Data Architect, Enterprise Analytics is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining UVM Health"s unified enterprise data model across the bronze, silver, and gold layers of the Microsoft Fabric lakehouse platform. This role is the technical owner and steward of the data model - ensuring it is well-structured, well-documented, and curated to serve the analytics needs of the organization with consistency, reliability, and high quality. The Sr. Data Architect operates as the data modeling authority for the agile engineering team, partners closely with the Data Governance team to ensure governance is embedded in the model, and works directly with analytics teams to ensure the unified data model supports high-quality, efficient analytics delivery.

Education:

  • Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field required; Master"s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining enterprise data models in a lakehouse or data warehouse environment.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or equivalent cloud data platforms.
  • Experience with medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers) and lakehouse design patterns.
  • Experience working within an agile engineering team as a technical lead or architect.
  • Experience working in agile product delivery preferred.
