# Position Summary... # What youll do... ## About the role Walmart is hiring a Senior Data Analyst - Transportation Modeling to support strategic data-driven decisions across Supply Chain and Transportation. In this role youll use advanced analytics and modeling approaches to evaluate complex what-if" scenarios and translate results into clear insights for business partners and leaders. This is a high-visibility role with a broad stakeholder group. Youll work across teams to understand the business question, structure the analysis, and communicate recommendations that help inform long-term network and transportation strategy. ### What youll do Build, maintain, and run transportation and supply chain models, including simulation and scenario analysis, to evaluate strategic initiatives. Partner with cross-functional teams to define the problem, gather inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure outputs are decision-ready. Assess tradeoffs across cost, service, capacity, and operational feasibility for initiatives such as new facilities, new services, and network changes. Develop executive-ready materials, storytelling visuals, and summaries that clearly explain model results, risks, and recommendations. Support multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment and help drive alignment across stakeholders. ### What youll bring Strong transportation and/or supply chain domain understanding and the ability to connect how decisions impact cost and service. Experience using modeling tools and/or third-party software to evaluate network routing, capacity, or operational scenarios. Strong analytical problem-solving skills and comfort working with ambiguous, open-ended questions. Ability to communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
