MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support the enterprise cybersecurity application infrastructure, ensure compliance with customer policies, and deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 maintenance and onboarding support.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing knowledge in the creation, editing, and management of scan policies, audit files, scan jobs, reports, dashboards, and custom content for specialized cybersecurity systems including Tenable Nessus tools and ServiceNow integration.
- Performing engineering support and system administration of specialized cybersecurity applications and systems to include installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, and back-up/restore.
- Providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 maintenance support for deployed cybersecurity technologies and customer onboarding.
- Analyzing and making recommendations for policies, procedures, and processes in order to increase efficiencies and streamline program activities.
- Interacting with other team members and customers at multiple levels to gather, supply, or coordinate information, while ensuring compliance with all Enterprise service requirements, CONOPS, and System Security Plans.
- Identifying potential conflicts with the implementation of cybersecurity tools within the enterprise and providing ideas for automating repetitive project tasks through scripts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ additional years of experience in lieu of degree
- 5+ years of Cyber experience
- Experience with the Tenable product suite and vulnerability scanning.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration, general operating system security practices, TCP/IP networking, and network security concepts.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow.
- Ability to organize, plan, and multi-task with attention to detail.
- Must have or be willing to obtain IAT Level II certifications within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of AWS technologies.
- Knowledge of federal Cyber Security Guidance such as NIST SP 800-37 and NIST 800-137 continuous monitoring.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and resolve problems effectively.
- Strong ability to effectively interact with various levels of senior management.
Clearance Requirements:
- An active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
