 Start Date: June 2026
 Compensation: $100,000 base salary + 10% bonus
 Schedule: Full-time, onsite

We are seeking an experienced SBA Underwriter to join a high-performing lending team in Irving, Texas. This role is ideal for professionals with strong 7(a) SBA underwriting experience who thrive in a high-volume environment and can effectively manage multiple deals simultaneously.

This is a collaborative, fast-paced team with strong leadership, excellent internal communication, and a culture focused on continuous improvement. Candidates coming from larger-volume lending environments will be especially successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite SBA 7(a) loans from initial review through final credit recommendation
• Analyze borrower financials, tax returns, cash flow, and collateral documentation
• Review creditworthiness and assess lending risk in accordance with SBA guidelines and internal credit policies
• Manage a pipeline of 5–7 active loan files simultaneously
• Prioritize multiple deadlines and maintain strong file movement in a high-volume production environment
• Collaborate with internal teams including credit, processing, closing, and leadership to ensure efficient loan progression
• Communicate effectively regarding regulatory compliance, documentation requirements, and underwriting decisions
• Maintain accurate loan files and support audit-ready documentation standards
• Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on quality, compliance, and operational excellence

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of SBA underwriting experience required
• Strong experience with SBA 7(a) loans required
• Experience with SBA 504 and Express loans is not required; primary focus is 7(a)
• Must have experience in a high-volume underwriting environment
• Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and financial review skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced lending environment
• Experience underwriting larger loan amounts preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Spark strongly preferred
• Experience with nCino is highly transferable and considered a strong alternative
• Experience in larger lending institutions or high-volume shops strongly preferred
• Experience handling more complex and larger commercial SBA transactions preferred
