The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for a prominent client. This position is located in Charlotte, NC. Details for the position are as follows:

Senior Controls Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay Rate: $63.00 - $67.00/hr
Duration: 12-Month Contract

Job Description

Lead controls engineering activities for automation and capital equipment projects from concept, design, and build through installation, startup, commissioning, and handoff to manufacturing.

Design, develop, and implement integrated machine control and process automation systems utilizing Rockwell PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms. Define control architectures, functional specifications, machine control strategies, and system integration requirements for manufacturing equipment.

Review and approve electrical schematics, control panel designs, PLC/HMI applications, network architecture, and controls documentation. Troubleshoot complex automation, controls, motion control, networking, and system integration issues during installation and startup. Support commissioning, validation, training, and technology transfer activities.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
