Senior Construction Superintendent

The Senior Construction Superintendent will lead field execution for complex mission-critical construction projects, ensuring successful delivery across safety, quality, schedule, and operational objectives. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day site activities, coordinating subcontractors and trade partners, and driving project execution from preconstruction through turnover. This position requires strong leadership experience within large-scale data center or mission-critical environments, along with the ability to manage fast-paced construction schedules, maintain high safety standards, and collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, consultants, and field personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on-site construction operations for large-scale data center and mission-critical projects from mobilization through project completion
  • Coordinate field activities between subcontractors, vendors, design teams, and project stakeholders to maintain schedule and execution alignment
  • Monitor construction progress, sequencing, manpower, and site logistics to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Maintain compliance with project specifications, building codes, quality standards, and safety requirements across all site activities
  • Conduct regular field inspections, safety walks, and progress reviews to identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain construction quality
  • Drive implementation and enforcement of site-specific safety programs and OSHA compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with project management teams on scheduling updates, procurement coordination, and milestone tracking
  • Support resolution of field conflicts, constructability concerns, and unforeseen site conditions in coordination with engineering and project leadership
  • Manage subcontractor performance, productivity, and adherence to contractual obligations
  • Maintain detailed project documentation including daily reports, progress logs, field updates, and punch list tracking
  • Participate in owner meetings, coordination meetings, and construction planning sessions to support overall project success
  • Mentor field teams and assistant superintendents while fostering a collaborative and high-performing jobsite culture
  • Ensure commissioning preparation, turnover activities, and closeout processes are completed efficiently and accurately
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred; equivalent field experience considered
  • 7+ years of construction experience with a strong background in complex commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects
  • Prior supervisory or site leadership experience managing field teams and subcontractors on large-scale builds
  • Experience supporting data center construction or other high-performance infrastructure projects strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, scheduling, site coordination, and quality control processes
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and jobsite compliance practices
  • Experience using Procore and Microsoft Office Suite for project coordination and reporting
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and field teams
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to issue resolution in fast-paced construction environments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and execution quality
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel or support project assignments as needed
