Senior Construction Estimator - Luxury & High-End Construction - Miami, FL
Reports to: Director of Preconstruction

Are you an experienced Estimator who knows how to look at a complex set of plans, identify what others miss, build the right subcontractor coverage, and turn incomplete information into a reliable construction budget.
This is an opportunity to take the lead on estimating high-end, detail-driven construction projects in South Florida where estimating requires much more than completing take-offs and collecting bids.
Projects include ultra-luxury ground-up custom residences, luxury condominium renovations and build-outs, hospitality, and other highly detailed construction environments with sophisticated finishes, demanding stakeholders, and complex scopes.
You will work closely with Preconstruction, Operations, Ownership, Architects, Designers, Consultants, subcontractors, and vendors from early concept and site evaluation through final pricing and buyout.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Lead estimates from RFP and initial document review through final bid submission and buyout
- Review drawings, specifications, narratives, and scope requirements to identify gaps and exposures
- Develop conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, quantity take-offs, bid tabs, allowances, clarifications, qualifications, and RFIs
- Build strong subcontractor and vendor coverage and level pricing beyond simply comparing numbers
- Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, project risks, and value engineering opportunities before construction begins
- Collaborate with Preconstruction and Operations to ensure estimates reflect how the project will actually be built
- Participate in preliminary site evaluations and project strategy discussions
- Present estimate summaries, risks, assumptions, and recommendations to leadership
- Manage multiple active pursuits while maintaining accuracy and deadlines
- Help transition awarded projects from estimating/preconstruction into Operations
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
- 10+ years of construction estimating experience
- Proven experience with luxury residential, hospitality, high-end commercial, or similarly complex custom construction
- Experience estimating projects with high-end finishes, specialty scopes, and significant architectural and design coordination
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, subcontractor scopes, and cost drivers
- Ability to independently lead an estimate rather than simply support the estimating process
- Strong subcontractor relationships and understanding of the South Florida construction market are highly valued
- Proficiency with Bluebeam or equivalent, Procore or equivalent, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and professional judgment
