Do you possess seasoned skills in composite materials and crave to be part of a dynamic team? We are eagerly searching for a Senior Composite Fabrication Specialist who can expertly manage hand lay-up techniques, master vacuum bagging protocols, and finesse hand-finishing tasks.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct manual lay-up of composites ( both Wet & Prepreg varieties)
- Manage and execute vacuum bagging processes
- Understand and utilize various resin systems like Epoxy, Polyester, Vinyl ester, and Silicones
- Refine and perfect patterns and molds through hand finishing
- Employ diverse hand tools for tasks such as cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembling
- Devise and apply adhesive bonding techniques
- Participate in structure assembly through set-up, bonding, and fastener applications
- Implement self-assessments for quality assurance
Key Qualities for Success
- Over 3 years in handling composite materials such as Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, and Fiberglass
- Experience within bustling manufacturing settings
- Educational requirement: High school diploma or equivalency
- Capability to read, analyze, and enhance standard operating procedures
- Proficient in using measurement tools including Calipers, Micrometers, and Indicators
- Impress with adept fabrication skills
- Skilled in employing hand tools for cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembly tasks
- Background in adhesive bonding techniques and structure assembly
- Keen eye for precision and meticulousness, especially with narrow tolerances
