Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our team in Milwaukee WI South Harbor District or our Chicago Headquarters near OHare. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong expertise in compensation principles and analytics. The Senior Compensation Analyst evaluates complex issues analyzes diverse data and develops practical effective solutions. While general direction may be provided for new initiatives the role exercises independent judgment and contributes to key compensation programs and decisions.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Applies a comprehensive understanding of professional compensation concepts to analyze the compensation of employees organization compensation programs and total rewards initiatives.
  • Conducts complex data analyses to assess compensation issues and recommend appropriate courses of action.
  • Participates in and develops compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine organizations competitive position.
  • Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines policies and practices.
  • Recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve complex compensation-related problems.
  • Advised leadership on job evaluations by reviewing revised jobs to determine appropriate salary grade assignment.
  • Develops recommendations regarding FLSA exemptions job revisions and organizational structures.
  • Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action.
  • Prepares special studies and recommendations on compensation programs such as incentive compensation variable pay plans and other forms of compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal State local laws and regulations.
  • Partner with HRIS to ensure data integrity and perform ad-hoc analyses reporting as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in HR business or a related discipline preferably in Human Resources Finance Mathematics Statistics or a related field.
  • 5 years of compensation HR or Finance experience.
  • WorldatWork CCP CEP SHRM PHPor other appropriate certification preferred.
  • Advanced analytical quantitative and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong project time and priority management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep knowledge of compensation principles practices and regulations including executive compensation programs and practices preferred.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel with significant experience gathering manipulating and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain analyses rationale and complex concepts to HR partners leaders and diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively demonstrating resourcefulness initiative sound judgment and integrity.
  • Ability to handle sensitive compensation and employee data with complete confidentiality and discretion.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders including internal partners and external vendors in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to legally work and reside in the country without sponsorship willingness to travel up to 5 as required.

Preferred Skills

  • Deep expertise in compensation work creating and managing systems and structures to support compensation philosophy and policies.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and compensation planning systems preferably SuccessFactors with strong systems aptitude.
  • Previous work experience and working knowledge of sales compensation process and analysis.
  • Demonstrated organizational and presentation skills with the ability to analyze data develop insights and deliver clear effective presentations.

Additional Information

Hiring Range

At Komatsu your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $76,000-$95,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors including experience and location.
