We are looking for a dynamic, organized, and community-minded leader to champion our senior programming and essential community services. As the Senior & Community Services Coordinator, you will not just be managing schedules. Rather, you will be building a more vibrant, inclusive, and safe community for all residents.
The Impact You Will Make:
- Curate Community Experiences: Design, promote, and host the beloved Whitefish Bay Senior Luncheon Program. From securing engaging speakers to coordinating delicious catering, you are the architect of our community''s social heart.
- Lead Adventures: Plan and supervise exciting senior trips and outings, providing our residents with opportunities for discovery and social connection.
- Champion Safety: Oversee the District''s Crossing Guard Program. You will be the point person for recruiting, training, and supporting the dedicated team that keeps our students and families safe everyday.
- Innovate & Grow: Use your creativity to propose and launch fresh classes, volunteer initiatives, and services that reflect the evolving interests of our senior community.
- Be the Voice: Act as a community storyteller by preparing publicity releases and promotional materials that celebrate our programs.
What You Will Bring:
- Experience & Education: A Bachelor''s degree in Recreation or a related field, or experience planning and managing senior adult programming.
- People Skills: A natural ability to recruit and inspire volunteers and staff.
- Reliability: A valid driver''s license and a clean driving record are essential for this role.
- Vision: An analytical mind for evaluating current programs and a creative heart for starting new ones.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Part-time, 12-month position. Enjoy a consistent 25 hours per week schedule that offers a great work-life balance.
- Compensation: Competitive pay at $25.00 per hour.
- Reporting: You will work closely with and report to the Director of Recreation & Community Education.
