Partner with the commercial lending team to manage the less active commercial loan portfolio by providing relationship management, loan servicing and requests, member centric service, and promoting products and services where beneficial. Also assist the commercial lenders in the ongoing monitoring, administration, and reporting of the total loan portfolio to ensure that the Credit Union maintains high credit quality.
Essential Functions
- Responsibility for relationship management and member servicing of the less active commercial loan portfolio.
- Develop relationships with members in loan portfolios seeking new lending and deposit opportunities.
- Respond timely and accurately to commercial member servicing requests, where appropriate.
- Accompany the Commercial Lenders on prospect / member calls when appropriate.
- Analyze the commercial portfolio on an ongoing basis to identify potential risks.
- Develop and monitor reporting to ensure compliance with credit policy and procedures.
- Collaborate with credit and operations team on improvements to systems, processes, and procedures and maintain relationships with certain vendors as deemed appropriate.
- Draft Loan Documentation and review with external legal counsel.
- Complete loan closings utilizing proper procedures, loan documentation, review and titling.
- Research and identify market trends and risks to assist commercial lenders in maintaining high quality loan portfolio.
- Perform detailed financial analysis for individual Commercial Real Estate transactions as well the commercial portfolio as a whole.
- Prepare quarterly problem loan reports where required.
- Ensure the timely spreading of interim and annual financial statements provided by members.
- Assist with annual covenant reviews as needed
- Manage/monitor portfolio for: * Required Financial Reporting & Covenant Compliance
- Ensure compliance with the Credit Union''s credit policies and procedures, identifying exceptions for approval when they occur.
- Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Wings policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.
Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position:
- Bachelor''s Degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience as demonstrated by increased levels of accountability, knowledge required
- 5+ years of relevant experience in credit analysis, underwriting, or loan production; commercial and commercial real estate preferred
Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting theory and its practical application in the credit underwriting process.
- Experienced and proficient in Microsoft Office products, including: Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to read and assess individual and company financial statements, cash flow, industry, competition and projections.
- Desire, ability and experience in working with people in a professional setting as demonstrated by a positive, enthusiastic attitude, exceptional interpersonal skills, professional business appearance and previous work experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Member Focused: Proven ability to build strong customer/member relationships and delivering customer/member-centric solutions.
- Collaborates: Known for building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

Certifications Required:
PAY RANGE: $135-158k (S18) plus 15% annual target bonus.
Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, location and internal pay equity.
