The group plays a key role in supporting energy industrial and community supply chains in complex maritime environments.About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced commercially driven leader based in Seattle to help grow and strengthen our towage business across the Pacific Northwest California and Hawaii as well as other areas where Saltchuk Marine operates. The Commercial Manager will lead customer relationships commercial strategy contract negotiations and business development across a diverse portfolio of ports and marine services. Working closely with operations and senior leadership this role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact on a market-leading maritime business.This is a high-impact position with broad exposure to executive leadership and significant influence over the future direction of the commercial organization. The level and title of this position may be calibrated based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.What You&8217ll DoDevelop and execute commercial strategies that drive sustainable growth and profitability.Build and strengthen relationships with shipping lines terminal operators government agencies and key customers.Lead negotiations for service agreements pricing and long-term commercial contracts.Identify and develop new business opportunities across existing and adjacent marine services.Partner with operations to deliver safe reliable and customer-focused solutions.Monitor market trends competitive activity and port developments to inform business strategy.Support budgeting forecasting and long-range planning activities.Represent the Company throughout the Pacific Northwest and Canada at customer and industry events.What We&8217re Looking For7 years of experience in maritime ports logistics transportation or related industrial services.Demonstrated success in commercial management strategic account management or business development.Strong negotiation communication and relationship-building skills.Commercial mindset with the ability to balance customer operational and financial objectives.Bachelor&8217s degree in Business Maritime Studies Logistics or a related field preferred.Ability and willingness to travel regularly.Why Join UsPlay a key role in a growing market-leading marine services organization.High visibility and direct interaction with executive leadership.Opportunity to shape the future of the commercial function and grow with the business.Build long-term relationships with some of the maritime industry&8217s most important customers.Competitive compensation and benefits package.CompensationPay for this position will be between 132976 to 199464 annually based on experience.This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive compensation plan ICP. The target bonus will be20of base salary subject to company and individual performance and per company policy.BenefitsThe benefit program includes medical dental and vision coverage for you and your family.This position will accrue 15 days of vacation a year. Accrued vacation will be vested and available for use after successfully completing six 6 months of service.Life insurance equal to two times annual base salary.Accidental death and dismemberment insurance.
