What your day will look like:- Own end-to-end fabrication of custom extrusion dies, from raw material selection through CNC machining and final grinding of seating surfaces
Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills using Mastercam (conversational and full CNC) to hold tight tolerances on one-off parts
Program, set up, and operate Fanuc Wire EDM to produce complex die geometries and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting
Collaborate with Engineering to review drawings, improve manufacturability, and support custom tooling development
Serve as senior troubleshooting resource for production, performing emergency die repairs and modifications with limited or no blueprints
Use manual mills and lathes for quick-turn repairs, secondary operations, and overflow CNC work
Mentor junior machinists while supporting shop maintenance, inventory control, and preventative maintenance programs
Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment while ensuring compliance with quality standards
Demonstrate professionalism and positive teamwork in all interactions with coworkers, supervisors, managers, and customers
