JOB OVERVIEW:
Joseph J. Peters Institute, a nationally recognized provider serving children, adolescents, and adult survivors of trauma as well as individuals who engage in problematic sexual behavior and/or intimate partner violence, seeks a Senior Clinician for JJPI's Safety and Responsibility Programs. The Senior Clinician maintains a full caseload, provides supervision to students, and works on program development to support and improve the financial health of the agency. This position reports to the Coordinator of Safety and Responsibility Programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide the highest quality clinical services to all clients of JJPI.
Develop and maintain clinical utilization at 100% or as assigned by the Director.
Provide EBP treatment to at least 25% of caseload or as directed by supervisor.
Supervise clinical students (as assigned by the Director) performing clinical services; provide weekly individual supervision.
Provide clinical guidance to assigned point people as needed.
Attend clinical meetings and scheduled supervision.
Provide supervisors with audio or videotaped samples of sessions as required.
Ensure the provision of comprehensive case management services to clients at 20% case management utilization.
Maintain clinical records in accordance with agency, managed care, and licensing requirements.
Assist in developing training programs for other staff.
Assist in developing and implementing new, innovative treatment strategies.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with other agencies.
Adhere to all organizational procedures regarding clinical documentation, including the following:
Complete an initial wellness/treatment plan review within the first visit of client contact.
Complete updated wellness/treatment plans every 6 months or as clinically indicated.
Complete progress notes within 24 hours of individual sessions and within 72 hours of group sessions.
Follow up appropriately with clients when a participant has missed a session.
Complete a discharge summary within 48 hours of termination date.
Maintain compliance with the guidelines and requirements of various funders.
Seek out appropriate professional training.
Work at least one evening per week at the clinic.
Support and take an active role in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion projects/movement at JJPI.
