UW Medicine’s Clinical Risk Management team has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Clinical Risk Manager to join their team.
About this Opportunity
Reporting to the Director, Clinical Risk Management, the Senior Clinical Risk Manager plays a pivotal role in helping UW Medicine deliver safe, high-quality, and equitable patient care. This role leads the review and resolution of high-stakes patient harm events, partners with clinical and operational leaders to reduce future risk, and serves as a trusted advisor on complex clinical, regulatory, and professional liability matters. Assigned to UWMC Montlake and UWMC Northwest, this position offers the opportunity to make meaningful impact at the intersection of patient safety, quality improvement, and organizational risk strategy.

This is a predominantly telework position. There is an expectation that the successful candidate will initially work in the office at least three days/week during the training period. Thereafter, on occasion, there is an expectation to present in person, e.g., for sensitive/urgent meetings, visits by regulatory agencies, education presentations.
About the Team
Clinical Risk Management helps protect UW Medicine, the University, and the patients we serve by proactively addressing clinical risk across care settings. The team partners closely with executive leadership, medical staff, nursing leaders, patient safety, quality improvement, compliance, patient relations, and other interdisciplinary partners to respond to complex events, improve systems, and strengthen trust. Joining this team means contributing to work that matters deeply—for patients, families, providers, and the broader mission of UW Medicine.
